THE EPISODE OF THE BLUE WHALE

Day 2 in Oklahoma: on the road searching the old route 66. Thanks to our guide book we found ourselves on unpaved paths with holes hopping our way to the "old route 66" road. What we did not know is that by taking these detours we would miss the one attraction of the area: The Big Blue Whale, which is located on the new 66. Finding ourselves in the middle of nowhere with the old 66 sign suddenly missing and driving around for almost 2 hours, we arrived on our starting point of the day. We took the same road again, seriously considering stopping the whole adventure and relaxing on a beach in the Bahamas, we finally found the Big Blue Whale approximately 10 meters away from the detour we took. Despising our guide book, we still took a picture of the magnificent sculpture and have posted it in today's post. Please take good note of it.

For the rest of our short day, we visited the J. M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum where more than 15 000 guns are exhibited and traveled all the way to El Reno where we will stay the night.

Last post on Oklahoma tomorrow, after that we will be in TEXAS!

    Bises,
    Paps, Nick.
